“Vishwa just loves gadgets de. He starts playing on his playstation and no one can disturb him. Nothing goes on to his ears. I have been calling him since one hour to come for dinner and he is not even listening.
You know he has exams next week and we need to somehow make him sit to study, with these playstation and stuff, it is going to a tough task for me to make him sit and study “, Sandya, his mom was complaining to her best friend over phone, she paused for a while and called him in a rough tone, yet coughing, “Vishwa, are you going to come for dinner or should I keep all food inside the fridge”. He was as usual not listening, was involved in the playstation.
Sandy was not well. She continued on the phone, “Hema, sometimes, I find it too stressful, I had a tough day at office too. Had to run and come to pick him, then cooking and managing house. I am missing our lazy college days”. As she coughed heavily, her friend asked “What happened to your health ? You seem to cough lots”.
“Yes, I had got a bad throat, feeling feverish too. It is rainy so much outside. His dad is definitely gonna come very late. And medicals will be closed. I can’t even get a medicine when I am sick”, she say told her friend.
The next moment, her little Vishwa turned and looked at his mommy. He paused the playstation and came and touched her forehead. He did not talk a single word. He went and put on his jacket, glasses, watch and asked his mom, “What medicine ma ? give me money and write the medicine name, I will go”.
Sandya cut the call , she was stunned and surprised. Tears started rolling down her eyes. “Dont cry ma, I will get the medicines, you take rest”, innocent Vishwa insisted. That was the moment Sandya got over from her stressed mommy mode and fell in love with that little hero of hers again just like everyday 🙂
